CONCERT REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

Dear CYC Singers and Families,
The singers have two weeks of rehearsals left and then it is time for the spring concert, which is the final event of the spring term for CYC. After the concert, we invite you to bring some kind of treat or finger food to share outside the Samper Recital Hall.
REMAINING REHEARSALS at Cabrillo Colege VAPA Bldg.
• Tuesday choirs Tue Apr 30 and May 7
• Wednesday choirs Wed May 1 and May 8
CONCERT ATTIRE:
GIRLS
• Concert black gown (through CYC)
• Black character shoes
• Concert jewelry
• Black tights, waist-to-toe, not leggings or knee-highs
BOYS
• White, long sleeved, button‐down shirt
• Black pants/slacks with wide leg, formal appearance (no jeans or leggings)
• Black shoes (all‐black, formal shoes, no colorful trim)
• Black socks
• Black bow tie
WEEKLY REHEARSALS
The Cabrillo Youth Chorus weekly rehearsal times:

DOLCE (beginning singers) and VIVACE (intermediate beginner singers) rehearse every Tuesday 4-5:30 pm.

ALLEGRIA (intermediate singers) and CON BRIO (advanced singers) rehearse every Wednesday 4-5:30pm.
We loosely follow the Cabrillo College calendar with sessions in fall and spring.
Rehearsals are conducted at the Cabrillo College, VAPA 5000-Music Building, Room 5137
The VAPA building is at the corner of Cabrillo College Drive and Soquel Drive.

Materials needed:
• Singers will be provided with a choir binder.
• Singers are required to have three pencils at each rehearsal
• Bottled water is a must, please label bottle with your name
Attendance: Since CYC singers meet once a week, your attendance is highly required in order for this ensemble to work out well. Nobody wants to sing next to someone who doesn't know their part, right?
Arriving Late:
If you are going to be late, please send a text to Cheryl at 831-277-9017.
Missed rehearsal or Emergency:
In case of an emergency and/ or missed rehearsal: please notify your CYC staff by calling 831-824-4023 and leaving a detailed message or emailing cyc.staffers@gmail.com.

• Make smart decisions

• Concentrate on CYC work and care about
the quality with which we do it
• Always mark your music
